Navigation is an important part of Legacy of Warriors. By mastering the art of navigation you will be able to explore the world. No, I'm not talking about your heroes and armies exploring, that is a different matter all together. We're talking about YOU here.
On the outset of your adventure you may find yourself too weak and pathetic to venture much further than your starting village's guard houses. In this case you may find little need to observe the world around you. However, as you gain in strength and notoriety there will come a time when you will have to take your army "on the road" so to speak. And I do hope that time comes sooner rather than later for you.
In order to choose where you take your armies you will need to first observe your surroundings. To achieve this we have provided some navigation mechanisms that should prove to be crucial to your success. That is unless your goal is to hide away in some dark corner of your basement, fearful for the adventures and battles that await you...
Oh right, I seem to have had a lapse in memory for a moment there, you don't have an estate yet. Well worry not, that part comes later too.
Now about this business of navigation. Assuming you overcome your childish fears of venturing out in to the dangerous world, you are going to need some way of observing your surrounding and finding your bearings. Let's start with looking around shall we?
To navigate the map in Legacy of Warriors simply grab a chunk of the ground and move it. You will find that the whole world moves beneath your feet! Such powers are normally reserved for gods, but all this can be yours for the low price of 9,000 gold!
Whats that you say? You don't have any money? Well I suppose I could give it to you for free then. However be warned that, not everyone in Legacy of Warriors will be so generous as I. You will find that in order to obtain items of your desire you are going to have to work for them!
Now about navigating... What's that? What happens if you get lost? Listen I'm not a baby sitter! Find your own way home!
...Sorry, where are my manners. I keep forgetting that you don't have an estate. Well if you ever get lost while navigating the map you can always click on one of your heroes' portraits that reside on the left side of your screen. Doing so will cause the world to center above that particular hero. Alternatively if you ever need to get your bearings, you can always refer to the mini-map in the top right corner of your screen.
Hmmm? You want moving pictures of those too? Forget it! This isn't a picture book! Away with you now! I'm sure you can discover the rest on your own. You can't expect me to hold your hand during your entire adventure can you? I'm going to the pub now. I hear there's a new hostess working there...
Good luck on your travels.
...kid doesn't stand a chance ... don't even know why I bother...
